When doing Northern Lights in OIL, we do not use a pattern. Everything is "freehand" so everyone's can turn out very different. VERY easy to do, Beginner level painting. We show you "step by step" what to do, then you create!
Janis has patterns to follow, and she teaches "step by step" what to do, so even a beginner can do these

Spring Watercolour Workshop with Janis Herbison
Learn to paint from your own photo!
Bring a photo sized 81/2"X 11" on photo paper. Your photo must not be blurry, must have good light and deep shadows if possible.
Subjects: Sunsets, Landscapes, flowers or flower gardens, birds, and pets. If in doubt email me the photo ahead of time.
Think about the colours you will use, consider the complimentary colours and theri colour value. Yellow and Purple, Green and Red, Blue and Orange.
Lets trace the photo in class so you don't get unnecessary details. Janis will bring all the supplies. Cost of class $60
No beginners please. You will have to have taken at least 3 classes with Janis and be willing to paint without step-by-step instructions as well as mix most of your own colours.
This class will be a good experience for you to start painting water colour at home on your own.
